1C:WMS
Warehouse handling in real time: storage by cell, receiving, putaway, picking and shipping as tasks on data terminals, with the stock known at any moment.
1C:WMS is the 1C program for managing warehouse handling in real time; its name in Russian is "1С:WMS Логистика. Управление складом". The system gives out tasks to warehouse staff on radio data terminals and records every completed step, so the stock of each cell is current and the dispatcher sees how the tasks are done.
What it covers
- Warehouse topology. Rooms, aisles, racks, tiers and cells, and zones for different kinds of storage and handling.
- Goods and containers. Packaging units, piece and weight goods, containers and their capacity.
- Receiving. Goods from suppliers, from production and from other warehouses, returns from customers.
- Cross-docking and transit. Goods received for a customer order and transit cargo that is not stored.
- Putaway. Placement strategies set by the user, automatic placement, replenishment of the picking zone and control of cell capacity.
- Picking and packing. Orders joined into waves and groups, picking strategies by unit, zone and expiry date, control, packing and sorting by orders.
- Shipping and counts. Shipping with control of the shipped goods, movements and counts of cells, containers and goods.
- Work of the staff. Tasks are given out by priority, and the time and status of each completed task are recorded.
Who it suits
Wholesale and production warehouses that work with pallets, warehouses of trading and retail companies with a wide assortment, warehouses of transport companies, and warehouses that store the goods of other companies.
Delivery and licences
1C:WMS works beside the accounting system of the company and exchanges data with it; warehouse staff work in a mobile client on data terminals. Together with 1C:TMS it joins the warehouse and the transport into one flow. Workplaces and the server are licensed separately: see the page about the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform and licences.
What we do
- Survey of the warehouse: topology, flows of goods, handling units and equipment.
- Setup of zones, cells, placement and picking strategies, labels and data terminals.
- Exchange with 1C:ERP, 1C:Trade Management or another accounting system.
- Launch on the working warehouse zone by zone, training of shifts and support.

ERP user training and pilot operation: what to plan
Instructions by role, training on the company's own data, the cost of an inconvenient screen and a pilot with written dates and exit criteria.

What the client signs when an ERP system is accepted
A signed check list shows that functions work. Tests on the future data volume and number of users show whether they will stay fast.

Master data: one item list that planning, the warehouse and accounting can trust
Why duplicate items distort stock, cost and reports at once, who decides what a duplicate is, and why the entry of new items is controlled first.
