1C publishes the task plan for version 8.5.6 of the 1C:Enterprise platform

1C news · 7 October 2026

Almost all tasks of the plan are marked as done, support for a second authentication factor is planned. A release date is not given.

On 7 October 2026 the technology blog of 1C published the task plan for version 8.5.6 of the 1C:Enterprise platform. The plan lists more than twenty tasks. All but one are marked as done; support for a second authentication factor is marked as planned.

What is in the plan

  • For users: improvements in text dictation, restoring of open windows, display of office documents, spell check in input fields, refinements of the light and dark themes.
  • For developers: comments kept in the text of a query, a mechanism that analyses changes of metadata, development of the Promise type.
  • For administrators: integration of the platform with external SIEM systems, viewing of server jobs, control over whether a configuration can be changed, changes in OAuth authentication, optimisation of the manager of managed locks.

According to 1C, a part of the tasks comes from suggestions of users collected in its Telegram channel.

What it means for a company that works on 1C

The document is a plan, and 1C says so in the text; a release date is not given. Nothing has to be done now. When the version is released, we recommend installing it on a working system only after a check on a copy of the database, with the configuration and the extensions that are in use.
